Rated 5 out of 5 by CPWalter from Boy Are These Good! I hesitate to write this review because it will only generate more people to love them and occasionally they are not available for whatever reason. That said, these are great! I love these black morsels of delight. And who cares whether they are Anise and not licorice. They taste good. Come to the Lehigh Valley in PA so we can save shipping costs. I can buy two more bags without a shipping charge!

Rated 5 out of 5 by M in NYC from My Mind is Changed I was just in your NYC shop, and I was given one of these as a sample. I gave it a try, and I'm amazed that I loved it. I have never liked black licorice in my life. I"m definitely going back to get some more of this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by intentionalB from Delicious licorice! As someone who eats gluten-free, I’ve long been disappointed in trying to find licorice without wheat in it—so, was wonderfully surprised when visiting my family in SoCal to find these delicious, GF, black licorice treats on a visit to See’s candies! I enjoyed them so much that once home, I ordered a few more to keep on hand! Thank you so much~

Rated 3 out of 5 by toughlove from Anise Medallions contain no Licorice Licorice Medallions containing no licorice are like chocolate medallions containing no chocolate. These have neither the taste nor texture of traditional licorice. They are perfectly good anise gummies which have unfortunately been misnamed. ---------------------------------------------------- Liquorice or licorice is the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra from which a sweet flavour can be extracted. The liquorice plant is a herbaceous perennial legume native to southern Europe and parts of Asia, such as India. - Wikipedia Scientific name: Glycyrrhiza glabra
